Dr. Eric Tyler

Dr. Eric Tyler grew up in Marin County. He knew from an early age that he wanted to pursue a career in dentistry, having had great experiences with his dentist and orthodontist as a child. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in cell biology and a minor in chemistry from Sonoma State University. After completing his undergraduate degree, he attended the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry, earning a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2003. Following dental school, Dr. Tyler attended UCLA to earn his Advanced Education in General Dentistry certificate. Dr. Tyler speaks both English and Spanish for optimal patient communication.

Dr. Tyler was a clinical instructor at the University of Pacific, School of Dentistry teaching dental students diagnosis and treatment planning skills. He enjoyed his time at the university collaborating with colleagues and students alike.

Dr. Tyler enjoys balancing his life between private practice, volunteer activities, and triathlon sports. He regularly volunteers at CDA (California Dental Association) Cares events throughout the state and Give Kids A Smile events providing free dental services. Outside of the dentistry realm, Dr. Tyler regularly trains for Ironman triathlon events. He typically races in 3-4 events throughout the year around the United States. In 2021, he earned All-World Athlete status from Ironman.

Dr. Tyler is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA), the California Dental Association (CDA), and the Marin County Dental Society (MCDS). Dr. Tyler resides in Novato with his wife and two daughters.
